Started in December 2005, BGCL was set up to save some overhead costs in storage and to show a distinction between what would normally be grain sold for ECVG use and farmer’s own grain. Grain handled through the stores at Drumlithie, rather than sold for direct use in the Mill will be dried, stored and marketed through BGCL.

The farmer always owns and controls the grain until final payment is made.
